Why do we have to pay so much?
It helps us stay open and rescue more animals, but... you're getting a great deal when you adopt a shelter pet. They are vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped and many are already altered, so your most of your initial health expenses are taken care of. They have been cared for, socialized, and any diseases we've discovered have been treated. Additionally, each pet comes with a certificate for a free vet check. If there are problems with your new pet, we will take her back. Also, the shelter staff, knowing the animals well, can help you choose the right pet for your lifestyle. Now, isn't that better than a so-called "free" pet you'd see in the weekend classifieds?
